Introduction: Dysregulation of glucocorticoid (GC) metabolism is implicated in the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The only available treatment for NAFLD is weight loss and the gold standard diagnostic test is liver biopsy, which is invasive and resource intensive.
